Rehoteq Technologies is a technology and engineering company registered and operating in Okitipupa, Ondo State, Nigeria. We operate the website rehoteq.com and provide software products, engineering services, and free online tools to users in Nigeria and internationally.

2. Information We Collect

We collect different types of information depending on how you use our services:

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Contact information — name, phone number, email address when you contact us via WhatsApp, email, or our contact form
• School onboarding data — school name, address, contact person details, and plan selection when a school registers for Rehoteq RMS
• Student and staff data in RMS — entered by school administrators on behalf of their institutions. This includes student names, registration numbers, class, scores, and parent contact details
• Calculator inputs — appliance selections, room configurations, and budget settings entered into our free calculators. These are processed locally in your browser and are not stored on our servers unless you explicitly send them to us via the WhatsApp quote button

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data — pages visited, time spent, links clicked, browser type, device type, and operating system — collected via Google Analytics if enabled
• IP address — your internet protocol address, used for approximate geographic location and security purposes
• Cookies — small text files stored in your browser. See Section 4 for details

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Providing our services — to deliver the Rehoteq RMS, process school registrations, and respond to service enquiries
• Customer support — to respond to your questions, complaints, or requests via WhatsApp, phone, or email
• Improving our products — to understand how our tools and calculators are used, identify problems, and build better features
• Sending service communications — important updates about your account, system changes, or service disruptions. We do not send marketing emails without your consent

6. Third-Party Services

Our website and products integrate with the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase — used for the Rehoteq RMS database, authentication, and real-time data sync. Data is stored on Google's servers. See: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Google Analytics — website traffic analysis. See: policies.google.com/privacy
• Google AdSense — advertising platform. See Section 5 above.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — used for customer communication. When you click our WhatsApp buttons, you are directed to WhatsApp's platform, which has its own privacy policy.
• Newsdata.io — used to fetch news articles displayed on our News Portal. Only publicly available news content is fetched; no user data is shared.
• Paystack / Flutterwave / Monnify — payment gateways used for RMS school fee collection. Payment data is handled entirely by these providers and is not stored on Rehoteq servers.

7. Data Storage and Security

Data entered into the Rehoteq RMS is stored on Google Firebase servers, which are located in data centres operated by Google. Firebase complies with major international data protection standards.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and regular security reviews.

However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Calculator inputs are processed entirely within your browser using JavaScript and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers unless you choose to send them via the WhatsApp quote button.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access — to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — to request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — to request deletion of your personal data, where we have no legal obligation to retain it
• Right to object — to object to processing of your data for marketing purposes
• Right to data portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at rehoteq@gmail.com with your request. We will respond within 30 days.

For RMS data held on behalf of schools — as the data controller for their students and staff — requests should be directed to the relevant school administration.

9. Children's Privacy

The Rehoteq RMS processes student data on behalf of schools. This may include data about students who are under 18 years of age. This data is processed solely at the direction of the school administration and is used only for result management and academic reporting purposes. We do not use student data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.

Our public website and calculators are not directed at children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
